    Description

    Greetings...
    Here is a 100% original and SUPER-RARE trade/WHOLESALE CATALOG from Chicago Cycle Supply! 324 PAGES of the world of bicycle sundries/accessories, motorcycle and motorbike supplies, parts, etc. "Everything for the Bicycle and Motorcycle Repairman", and then some. The mid-teens offerings from the CCS-folks are the most desirable catalogs to secure for period reference, artwork, and general perusing. CCS usually features locally=produced bikes, and in this issue was the Yale-line, offering the Bulldog, Roadster, Broncho, a truss(Iver-type), etc.
    ****PLEASE NOTE:
    this catalog is VERY historically significant, as it mentions in the foreword/introduction that a few months previous there was a huge fire that destroyed ALL of the facilities in Chicago. How many of you bike-folk knew that?? In turn, CCS acquired Excelsior Supply and all lived happily ever-after, or a reasonable facsimile-there-of! You are now the wiser for reading this description.
    ==CONDISH==
    completely intact, expected toning from age, and plenty of handling. Was originally a vibrant blue on the covers, now more muted and soiled. Spine-tape still present and looks fine+++excellent. Most notably, the cover shows stains, a diagonal bend-back crease, as seen. The inside of front cover reveals via the dirt, how this bend probably happened. Bottom right is missing(chipped). The embossed logo/artwork is very cool, both blind for the bike and gold lettering. Some pull-off from tape or water between the words 'Chicago' and 'Cycle', as seen. Back cover shows a few chips at corners. More may come. Gotta be gentile with these books. Inside, the pages look great considering the newsprint used. Toning to pages, especially for some reason the last 50 or so, a bit darker and more fragile.
    Please scrutinize ALL photos for condition and scale.
    Measures 6+" x 9.25", which was typical for these during these years. The CCS catalog went on a HUGE diet after WW1. This may have been one of the, if not THE last big catalog. I can send additional photos of contents, via request. Many photos here are of condition, and not contents.
