Longacre 72588 Racing / Kart Scale - Head Unit Only - No Pads

Up for sale, a Longacre Racing 72588 scale head unit.  I do not have the pads to check its functions or accuracy, it does power up and seems to respond to button pushing.  The data will change slightly just sitting still which doesn't really inspire confidence but I suspect it is because all of the lead cables have nothing connected.  I think the odds are at least 50% it is operational but I have no way to test further.
Please note: the original power supply is included but has part of the plug lead exposed (see pics), it appears it was replaced with a generic power supply.  Also, the wire insulation on the scales looks rather poor, there are several areas where bare wire is exposed and the insulation in general looks pretty ancient (see pics).  It has a battery lamp on the front, I have not attempted to put batteries in the unit or open it up.  I can't vouch for the condition of the battery compartment (or internal battery???).
Obviously, the pads are not here so this can't be used until pads are obtained.  Sold as-is, may need repair or adjustment prior to reliable and accurate usage.
