The Jensen Transformers PI-2RX Stereo Audio Input Isolator provides powerful 90 dB common mode isolation at 60 Hz while also helping to eliminate RF interference from sources like radio and television stations.
The PI-2RX is recommended for most all applications where a high-impedance line input, such as the line input of a power amp or crossover needs to be isolated.  It can eliminate noise inference, such as 60 cycle hum and well as higher frequency noises, such as buzzes, clicks and pops from motors, light dimmers, and RF.
Both the sources and loads may be either balanced or unbalanced for maximum interconnection flexibility.  The PI-2RX is housed is a sturdy metal enclosure, measuring 7.0" W x 3.5" D x 1.6" H., including the flanges.  The flanges have mounting holes, which are handy for permanent installations.
FYI: Cables on the output side of the PI-2RX need to be three feet (or less) in length and the input of the equipment connected on that side must have a minimum impedance of 10k.  There is no cable length restriction on the input side of the PI-2RX.
The PI-2XR connector configuration is RCA to XLR, but the PI-2 Series is available in versions with other connector combinations as well.

Ground Loops?
(or why the best planned systems sometimes sound bad)
It is a subject that is seldom discussed in manufacturers publications, or even in magazines of the trade, but ground loops can happen even in the most carefully planned audio system.
When devices in the same system are powered by separate power sources, that can cause a difference in ground potential between the two pieces of equipment.  It can be because one of the circuits is loaded more heavily than the other, or because one run is longer than the other, or any number of other reasons that are beyond the scope of this article, but the result of this difference in ground potential is commonly referred to as a ground loop.
The Solution
The Jensen Transformers PI-2RX is elegant in its simplicity.  Simply insert the PI-2RX anywhere in the signal path and immediately, the effects of the ground loop become a non-issue.  Problem solved.  There are not too many things that one can install in an audio system that can provide so much improvement with so little effort.
Don't Forget the Cables!

Warranty
Manufacturer's Warranty Statement
For a period of 1 YEAR after purchase, Jensen Transformers, Inc. will, free of charge, repair or replace any part of an ISOMAX® product that fails due to defective materials or workmanship.
For a period of 20 YEARS after purchase, Jensen Transformers, Inc. will, free of charge, repair or replace any Jensen OEM transformer or any Jensen transformer contained in an ISOMAX® product that fails due to defective materials or workmanship.
Both limited warranties are subject to the following limitations:
1. Defects that are, in the sole judgment of Jensen, the result of accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, faulty installation, unauthorized repair, modification, or acts of God will not be covered by this warranty.
2. In the absence of proof of date of purchase, the date of manufacture (as determined from lot numbers of internal parts and the records of Jensen Transformers, Inc.) shall be used in its place.
3. There are no express warranties except as listed above.
4. JENSEN TRANSFORMERS, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF THE BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. Duration of implied warranties, if any, is limited to 12 months.
If a problem develops with this product during the warranty period, call or write us before attempting any repair. Jensen Transformers typically does a very fine job of handling warranty issues, but if you prefer to deal with Cable Solutions, we will be pleased to handle the matter for you.
International Customers
Please notice that most of our electronic equipment carries a USA warranty, so all international warranty issues must be handled by Cable Solutions.  This means that you must return the item to Cable Solutions for all warranty repair or replacement issues. You will be responsible for all shipping/handling expenses.
