Bobbin Case (Shuttle) Carriage / Carrier 54508 for Singer 128 Sewing Machines

Description

This part came from a 1922 Singer Model 128, but it will fit any 128 ever made. Your machine’s long, bullet-shaped bobbin case (shuttle) rides in this carriage with its small, dumbbell-shaped bobbin inside (bobbin case and bobbin are not included in this listing). See the small button on top of the carriage? Press down on the button and a small lever comes up from underneath and raises the shuttle, making it easier for you to remove it. That feature is one of the improvements that turned a Singer 28 into a 128.
You may be able to make out “SIMANCO” in photo two. That stands for “SInger MANufacturing COmpany.” This shuttle carriage is a genuine Singer part, and the small attachment screw shown in photo one is included.
These things are dirt magnets but we gave it a good cleaning and it is ready to install. We hope it helps you to make lots of wonderful things.
