Benjamin Butler: Large People's Party Broadside from 1884

21" x 28" broadside titled "People's Party" followed by "For President Gen. Benjamin F. Butler of Mass." It announces a pro-Butler rally "at the rink" in North Parma, New York. Printed by the Post-Express Show Printing House of Rochester. Butler ran as both the People's Party candidate and the National Greenback Labor Party candidate. We have never seen a presidential broadside of this large size for Butler, one of the most colorful politicians of the 19th century. Minor loss to top left border and bottom right corner. A few small tears repaired with archival tape on verso.
