1904 St. Louis Worlds Fair, Honorary Board Of Filipino Commissioners Visit Medal

Rare 1904 Philippines Badge For  "The Visit Of The Honorary Board Of Filipino Commissioners To Pittsburgh, Pa. June 27, 28, 1904".  The Honorary Board were Philippine guests of the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition and Worlds Fair, in St. Louis, then they visited a few other U.S. cities. They also came to see the Philippine exhibits at the Worlds Fair which were their contribution. The trip was organized as a goodwill and learning experience for the Philippine Commissioners, following the U.S. purchase of the Islands from Spain, then a new Territory of The United States.  The badge is approximately 6" long and 1 3/4" wide, with a metal hangar, a yellow and black ribbon, and metal drop with a celluloid center.  The ribbon is imprinted with the above wording, but the wording has faded over the years.  In addition, the celluloid center on the drop has some light cracks and a bit of water staining.  Also, there is a 3/4" horizontal separation of the ribbon just below the metal hangar.  Please take a close look at my photos before bidding, to determine the condition for yourself.
